Hello, Simone!
Welcome to planDisney, I'm glad you're here!
I have many happy memories of being a teen and exploring Disneyland Park with my cousins, seeing how many rides we could squeeze in before midnight. I love that your teens are ready for a little independence, too! Teens are welcome to sign up for a MyDisney account, however, guests under the age of 18 cannot save a payment method to use on the
Disneyland Mobile App. Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to link their account to yours. I'm sorry about that!
One way to help your teens take advantage of the mobile ordering feature in the app is to buy them a
Disney Gift Card, which is an accepted form of payment in the app. You can't save the gift card as a payment method, so I like to type the card number into a notes app so I can easily copy and paste it when I'm making a purchase. It's a little extra work, but not bad once you get used to it.
When I was a teen I was all about thrill rides in the parks! Have your teens heard of the "Goat Trick" for
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad? Ask the Cast Member loading the train if you can wait to sit in the very back row. When you are going up one of the larger hills on the coaster you'll see a goat chewing on a stick of dynamite at the top (he isn't the smartest). Keep your eyes on that goat for as long as you can, turning your head to watch him as you go down the hill for an extra thrilling ride!
Thanks again for your question, Simone! Enjoy the parks!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
