Hi Jennifer! We are so happy to help you with your question here at planDisney! There is nothing better than making those magical, forever memories with family at the Happiest Place on Earth!
There have been a few updates within the
Disneyland Mobile App and
My Disneyland tab on the website. While you won't see the "Family and Friends" tab, you can still link tickets to make planning park days a breeze! If you are on the website within the My Disneyland tab, navigate to "Link Tickets". Here you will be able to enter the ID number for any tickets you would like linked to your account. Similarly, if you are within the app, find your way to "Tickets and Passes". From there, click on the "+" sign in the top right corner and a menu will drop down. Select "Link Tickets & Passes" and here you can manually enter the number or even just scan your son's bar code.
Now that you and your son are linked, chEARS! Let the planning begin! I want to make sure you are aware of a few key dates as you start to map out your park days. You will be able to make
theme park reservations 120 days prior to your arrival. Currently, both a valid theme park ticket and a theme park reservation are required for entry. Reservations can be canceled and rescheduled but are subject to availability. I suggest grabbing them at the 120-day mark and knowing they can always be changed later if need be.
If you're anything like me, a Disney day is not complete without some classic Disneyland eats and treats.
Dining reservations will open up to you 60 days prior to your arrival. If you prefer to be a bit more go with the flow, there is a new feature -
Mobile Dine Walk-Up - that allows you to add your name to a same-day waitlist at select table service restaurants. My fellow panelist
Kamini even scored a coveted reservation at
Oga's Cantina! The best part is you can do this from anywhere in the park through the mobile app, saving you time to take an extra spin in those Mad Tea Party teacups!
Jennifer, with all these time-saving tips it can be easy to sprint through your day. One of my favorite things to do is grab a treat from the
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and listen to
The Dapper Dans harmonize your favorite Disney tunes. Slowing down for a minute makes the day last longer and really lets the magic sink in!
I see you have a few months to go before you come to visit us. If anything pops up in your planning, please drop us another question! We are always here for you at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
