I want to link my 2 room reservation to a friend's reservation so that we can dine together and be on the same rotation, but if I link the staterooms together will I still have my own account for payment and booking activities of my rooms?

Ahoy, Shantelle! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm always thrilled to meet someone who loves adventures in the great, wide somewhere as much as I do. With so many friends joining you for your journey beyond the reef, it is sure to be a magical time!

The quick answer to your question is that linking your reservations will not affect your accounts. I'll share a bit about my experience so you can get an idea of how it worked.

This past summer, we linked our Disney Treasure cruise reservations with a family we had met on the Disney Fantasy the previous year. We even requested the same server since she had told us she was hoping to be on the Treasure when this beautiful ship joined the fleet.

I used the chat function on the Disney Cruise Line website to request to link. The Cast Member just needed the name and confirmation number for the other stateroom. It was super easy.

Once our date for booking Port Adventures and onboard activities arrived, I could see our friends' names on the drop-down list of Guests to select for a reservation. We are Platinum Castaway Club members, and I was able to book activities for my stateroom 120 days before our cruise. Our friends are Silver. Once their date opened (90 days before the cruise), I could see what Port Adventures they had reserved. I could also book activities for the whole group, but not until we were all eligible.

We also completed the pre-arrival check-in process separately. Our friends booked a pre-cruise hotel stay with ground transportation, so they arrived at the port and boarded before us. Once we were at the port and connected to the ship's wi-fi, we could check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and see that we had the same dining rotation and table number. When we reunited at dinner that first night, it was a scene of squeals and hugs all around! We even got our favorite server, as I had hoped. Disney magic!

One note: Make sure you have all selected the same dining time. I can't guarantee that they will seat you all together, even if you are linked, but having the same dining time will help.

On the ship, my family's Port Adventures and purchases were charged to our stateroom, and the bill was settled against the form of payment we added to our account during the pre-arrival check-in. Our friends' charges were on their own bill.

Shantelle, I hope this helps with any concerns you may have had about linking your reservations. Cruising with friends is the best. And having that time together at dinner to talk about all the fun during the day is like an extra sprinkle of Pixie Dust!

    SEAS the Magic!
