Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sue!
Your Magical vacation is less than a month away. How exciting! With the celebrations for
the 50th anniversary in full swing, you'll be in for some golden-hued pixie dust! Sue, if you're planning to visit EPCOT, you'll also get to experience the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!
Now, to enjoy all there is to see and do this January, let's first talk about linking your reservation. You can begin on
THIS page that will allow you to select between linking tickets or a resort (or vacation package) reservation. From that page, you'll be prompted to log into your My Disney Experience account. Follow the prompts to enter the correct number to link your reservations. If you have a ticket-only reservation, make sure to see the examples to enter the correct number.
Sue, once you've successfully linked your reservation, let the planning continue! You'll want to make sure you've made
Disney Park Pass reservations (as all guests are required to hold a complimentary reservation IN ADDITION to your valid theme park ticket). Since you're within 60 days of your arrival, you're also welcome to begin making dining reservations (which I recommend for most Table Service locations).
Speaking of dining reservations, let's chat about ordering from the kids' menu. If you'll be visiting a restaurant with a prix fixe menu, buffet or family-style meal with a set price, you'll be required to pay the standard adult price. For example, recently my family ate at
Biergarten Restaurant that offers a large selection of foods and a set price per adult or child. At other locations that offer a la carte ordering, you have more flexibility to order an appetizer as a main course, share an entree or order from the kids' menu. I highly encourage you to spend a few minutes browsing through the online menus from the restaurants you're planning to visit to have a good idea of your options. And... because all locations are unique, I also recommend talking with your server when you check-in about how best to order for a smaller appetite.
Sue, I hope this helps as you're planning ahead for your 2022 visit! If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney! We love helping guests create their own Magic!
