Ahoy there, Liesel! Welcome to planDisney. My pals and I are thrilled to have you drop by with your question.
I'm happy to share that
linking your reservation will indicate to Disney Cruise Line that you'd like to be seated together with your family for dinner; however, it will not affect your ability to book
Port Adventures or onboard fun when your booking window opens. If your reservations are linked when your
booking window opens, you will only be able to select the guests with Silver
Castaway Club Membership status for the activities you choose until booking opens for everyone.
We frequently travel with friends or family members with different Castaway Club Membership status than our family, and the booking process has been a breeze. Just note that you might find yourself able to book a Port Adventure that fills up before your in-laws can reserve a spot. If that's the case, they can ask to be placed on a waitlist on the ship for that particular Port Adventure to see if something opens up. Additionally, if you'd like to dine at an
adult-exclusive restaurant, I'd encourage you to make a reservation for the adults in your party who have access once your activity booking window opens. I've had luck adding a couple of guests to our existing
Palo reservation once onboard.
I hope that information helps you feel shipshape and ready to sail. If you have more questions, please cruise back to planDisney. We'll be here for you!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
