Hi there, Jonathan. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for taking the time to visit us with your question.
When you made your
ticket purchase and theme park reservation, you were emailed a QR code unique to you. To enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll just need to present your theme park ticket to a Cast Member, which can be linked to your
Disneyland mobile app. If you have not linked your ticket, I can briefly walk you through the process using your Disneyland mobile app. Locate and click on the 3 short horizontal lines on the lower right-hand corner. Click on “Tickets and Passes” on the upper left. You will then press “Link Tickets & Passes” and either scan the barcode or enter the ID number for each ticket you’d like to link. Once confirmed, you may now use this linked ticket for entry.
During my recent visits to the Disneyland Resort theme parks, I did not need to present the unique QR code. When I asked a Cast Member whether Guests need to show the QR code that was emailed, she stated it was not necessary unless there are issues when scanning the ticket for entry. One issue she mentioned was if a Guest purchased a ticket but did not have a valid park reservation for that day or there was issue surrounding it. Then the Guest will need to present the QR code as proof of park reservation for that particular day and park.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Jonathan. Please don’t hesitate to
write us again if you have more questions. We’re all EARS!
