Can you link a prepaid debit/credit card to your child's magic band? Ex: purchase a visa card at walmart add money so the kids can spend since i have purchased them disney gift cards for each child but those can't be linked to magicbands?

    Hi, Shannon!

You are going to love the convenience of have MagicBands. Gone are the days of having to dig into my bag for park tickets, FastPass slips, and credit cards. One touch of my MagicBand and it is off to the magic!

If you place a credit card on file when checking in at your resort, you can charge with your MagicBand. However, no financial information, such as your credit card or gift card numbers are stored on the actual band. If you choose to do so, you can charge back to your room, then you can go to the front desk to pay off that balance with your gift cards, avoiding that charge onto your credit card.

Since you want to limit your child's spending, you can either just use that prepaid card to pay for your purchases, or keep track of the spending on the MagicBand and pay it off with your prepaid card. Whatever is easiest for you.

If you do allow your child, or any members of your party, to charge on their MagicBands, make sure they have your 4 digit pin code, as this will be required for any purchase made with a MagicBand.

Wishing you a magical vacation in Walt Disney World!
