How do I link plans to friends and family?

Hey there, hi there, ho there! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney, Mark! Thanks for stopping by with your question!

Isn’t planning a vacation so much fun, Mark? If you ask me, that goes double when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! There are so many new and exciting things to explore, so it’s such a blast to plan out your days and get pumped up for fun. But, of course, it sure is a lot to think about, so I’m so glad you’ve stopped by with your question so we can lend a helping hand and make the planning process as enjoyable as possible!

Mark, I’m happy to say that linking your friends and family to your My Disney Experience account is actually quite easy. I’ll break it down for you step by step below:

    • To start, you’ll want the members of your party to log into their own My Disney Experience mobile app and open the menu (the three stacked lines on the bottom right corner).
    • Then, ask them to scroll down and click on "My Profile" and select "Show My Linking Code."
    • Next, have them jot down the six-character manual code listed on this page and send it your way.
    • Now that you have their manual linking code open your My Disney Experience app and navigate to "My Profile."
    • Next, toggle over to "Family & Friends List" and select "Add a Guest."
    • Click on "Scan their linking code," then "Manually Enter a Code," submit, and you are all set!
    • Keep in mind that the manual linking codes are only valid for 30 minutes each, so you’ll want to schedule a time to complete the steps above with your group to avoid it expiring.

Once you’re all linked up, you can add your party to things like Advanced Dining Reservations, Disney Genie selections, Park Pass Reservations, and more!

Speaking of which, have you had a chance to make some Advanced Dining Reservations for your trip? There are SO many delicious restaurants to try during your vacation. Each has its own unique style and menu that will please any palate. These restaurants do book up, so I definitely recommend securing some reservations to ensure you're able to enjoy some fabulous meals with your family. I like to do one sit-down meal per day and enjoy the quick-service restaurants, and snack stands for the other two meals.

I hope this has been helpful to you! As you continue to prep for your upcoming visit, know that we are here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. So, please visit us again with any questions you may have.

    Bye for now,
