Welcome to planDisney, Steve! Thanks so much for dropping in with your question about connecting plans with your family at
Walt Disney World Resort. I’m so excited to help you navigate the My Disney Experience tools so your whole group can stay in sync and focus on the fun during your magical getaway!
To share plans with everyone in your party, they first need to create their own
My Disney Experience account, if they haven't already, then add them to your
Friends & Family list. I would next suggest connecting your account to theirs on their own devices. This will allow you to manage all your plans from your own account while still being able to share reservation plans and tickets with everyone in your party. They will be able to see all plans including Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets and any
Lightning Lane Passes.
I find the easiest way to connect to the accounts of friends and family members is by using your Linking Code. To find your Linking Code, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right of the My Disney Experience app. Scroll to the bottom of the screen then under Account, tap “Profile.” Next, tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then prompt you with a warning explaining what the linking code is. Once someone scans your Linking Code, you’ll be added to their Friends & Family list. Next tap “Show My Linking Code.” The app will then create a unique linking code. There’s a QR version as well as a manual code that your friends and family can type in.
Again, after connecting, you can share plans like park tickets, dining reservations, or Lightning Lane selections, and hotel reservations. When you make a reservation or book an experience, you’ll see the option to select which members of your Family & Friends List should be included. You can also allow others to see your plans and manage plans for you, which is helpful when one person is coordinating the trip for a group.
If you're all staying at a Disney Resort hotel under the same reservation, the system may automatically link the guests, but you should still check your Family & Friends List to confirm. The more connected your group is in the system, the smoother it will be to coordinate experiences such as park entry and dining check-ins.
Steve, I hope this helps you get everything set up for your magical adventure at Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and have a pixie dusted day!
