How do you link your old magic band to a new Disney experience vacation

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Karen!

Thank you for visiting us today with an excellent question about MagicBands. It is a pleasure to assist you as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort adventure!

If you already have a MagicBand linked to your account, you will not need to link it again. MagicBands cannot be transferred to other Guests, so when you link a new Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation or Disney vacation package to your Disney account, you should be able to use the same MagicBand.

To confirm that your old MagicBand is still linked to My Disney Experience, sign in to your Disney account and visit My MagicBands and Cards. Be sure your MagicBand is still active, and you will be able to use it during your next visit. Please note that your MagicBand may not be working anymore if you have had it for more than two years. I recommend checking with Cast Members upon arrival, and they will be able to confirm if the MagicBand is still good to go. If that is not the case, you can buy a new one at several merchandise locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this helps you while planning, Karen! Stop by once again real soon if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help!

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
