Bright Suns, Vicky! I'm pleased to welcome you to planDisney, where you'll find some of the biggest Star Wars fans in the galaxy!
Your voyage to
Planet Batuu is about to begin, so we need to make sure you have everything ready. You don't want to run into trouble with the First Order! To ensure everyone in your traveling party has a chance to reserve a boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, you'll just need to add your mother-in-law to your
Family and Friends List in your My Disney Experience account. To do that, hop over to the
Family and Friends page in your profile on the Walt Disney World website and sign in. Here you'll see all of the Guests that are currently linked to your account. Scroll down to "Add a Guest," then follow the directions on the next page to link your mother-in-law to your account.
On the day you'll be visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, fire up your
My Disney Experience mobile app before 7 a.m. (you don't have to be in the theme park, so you can even do it in your
Darth Vader jammies before you leave your Resort hotel room!). Scroll down until you see "Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - Request Access with Virtual Queue." Click on "Join" and follow the prompts to be
assigned a boarding group number. You'll need all of your Jedi skills for this, because the boarding groups tend to go pretty quickly. If you miss the morning release, you can try again at 1 p.m. (you do need to be in the park for that one).
Remember that each member of your party will need valid admission along with a
Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios on the day you plan to visit in order to be eligible for a boarding group.
I hope this information helps you secure passage aboard your ship to battle the First Order, Vicky. Thank you so much for coming to see us, and May The Force Be With You!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
