Hi Deborah, welcome to planDisney!
Taking PhotoPass photos is one of my favorite things to do on my visits to Walt Disney World Resort! I have photos of my kids as babies in front of Cinderella Castle, photos of my husband and I riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and some fun solo pictures of myself in the theme parks. If I see a Disney PhotoPass photographer in their
bright green outfit, I am there and asking them the best way to pose!
Your
Memory Maker purchase can be
shared with up to 25 guests on your Family & Friends List in the My Disney Experience app. To make sure you can see their photos, go to your Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account and select your child’s account. This will show you which plans and photos you are sharing with your child and “My Disney PhotoPass Photos” should have a checkmark. Your kids will also need to go into their account and follow the same steps to make sure they are sharing PhotoPass photos with you.
Now your kids can go throughout the park and take photos with a PhotoPass photographer (try to find the
Super Zoom Magic Shots in each park!) or collect their ride photos after riding an attraction. Some attraction photos will link “auto-magically” after you ride, and some will have a photo preview wall after exiting the attraction where you can tap your MagicBand to link your photo.
Since you’re expecting your kids to take some photos while you’re not with them, you could even make a game out of it and give them a list of places to take photos. For example, a photo
with a princess, a photo drinking
blue milk by the Millennium Falcon, or a photo of them “sleeping” on
Space Mountain! Don’t forget there are special
Magic Shots throughout the parks, so remind your kids to ask the PhotoPass photographer if they have a Magic Shot available. It’s always fun to see who or what pops up in your photo when you look at your photos in your My Disney Experience account! Don’t forget that
PhotoPass photos expire 45 days after the date they were taken, so I try to download them as soon as we return home from our vacation.
I hope you have a great time looking through the photos you and your children take at Walt Disney World Resort, Deborah! As the song goes, “Taking pictures is making memories… And when we’re making memories, happy days can reappear!”
Say Cheese!
