How do I link my MagicBand+ to my "My Disneyland" account using a web browser? Jenna provided an answer (thanks) but it is for "My Disney Experience" for WDW. Do I need to have an active ticket first? I have no smartphone.

    Hey, howdy, hey, Peter!

I'm glad you've rounded up the gang again here at planDisney as you prepare to visit the Disneyland Resort. Thanks for the opportunity to set the record straight to help you have a rootin', tootin' time as you visit The Happiest Place on Earth!

You're right, Peter. The My Disney Experience planning tools used for visits to the Walt Disney World Resort allow you to link a MagicBand+ to your MyDisney account. But that only works for visits to The Most Magical Place on Earth. When you are heading to Walt Disney's original magic kingdom in California, that method using a web browser isn't currently available. As you have discovered, the standard way to link a MagicBand+ to your Disneyland Resort account is using the Disneyland mobile app.

Guests without a mobile phone or tablet capable of running the mobile app may link their bands to their Disneyland Resort account by calling the App & Online Support line during their regular hours. When calling the Online Support hotline, be sure to select the option for the Disneyland Resort Online Support, the same option used for Lightning Lane support and password reset. The Cast Members there can help you get your MagicBand+ to your account as long as you have the following information:

    • The email address of the MyDisney account you use for the Disneyland Resort
    • Your first and last names as listed on your account
    • The billing address associated with your account

    • The ID number from the back side of your MagicBand+
    • If your band is already linked to another account, you will also need to verify information for the other account so your band can be unlinked from it first.

There are two steps to perform when using a MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort: linking the band to your account and assigning a ticket or pass to that band. The Online Support Cast Member on the phone can help you perform both steps. Another option is to visit a Guest Relations location during a visit to the Disneyland Resort theme parks to request assistance with your account. But I recommend the phone route so you can hit the ground running with your MagicBand+ from the moment you arrive at the new entry gates and scan your band at the tap points there.

While you are visiting Disneyland, there are two experiences you can enjoy with your MagicBand+. One is Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, an incredible, interactive game in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The other is a unique original attractions quest that connects you with all of the remaining Disneyland attractions that were also open on opening day, July 17, 1955.

    Have a magical time, Peter!
