Hello, Joseph!
Welcome to
planDisney. I’m happy to hear you’ve got a
Disneyland Resort vacation on the horizon, especially if this will be your first visit to the original Disney theme park on the West Coast where you can walk in Walt Disney’s footsteps!
I’m sorry you’re having difficulty linking your children’s MagicBands to the
Disneyland mobile app. First, please verify that the bands you’re attempting to link are
MagicBand+ as they are the only ones supported at Disneyland Resort at this time.
Be sure the MagicBand+ is fully charged, and then power it on by pressing the button on the back one time. Tap the band to the back of your smartphone and you'll be prompted to open or download the Disneyland app. If you already have the app downloaded, make sure it is updated to the latest version. After selecting the app’s "☰" menu, you can scroll down and tap the MagicBand+ option (located under the “Disney Account” heading). Tap the “+” symbol at the top right and follow the on-screen prompts to link the MagicBand+ to your Disney account, assign it to a linked
theme park ticket, and pair it to your phone.
I hope this information helps, Joseph, but if you’re still having trouble, you can always visit a Guest Relations location once you arrive at the Disneyland Resort to get assistance in person from a Cast Member. Please feel free to
write back with any other planning questions you may have before your pixie-dusted adventure begins!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
