How do I link my magic bands from Disney world to disneyland

    Hiya Elizabeth,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us!

The magic is shared between Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in the form of MagicBand+! These handy bands are both functional and fashionable! As you know, you can use your MagicBand+ to interact with nighttime entertainment (such as World of Color - ONE), as well as use it to unlock your Disneyland Resort Hotel room or scan your theme park tickets!

Good news! You can use the same MagicBand+ for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort visits! To use a MagicBand+ for a visit to the Disneyland Resort, use the Disneyland app to first link the band to your Disneyland Resort account. First, click on the app’s (☰) feature at the bottom right-hand side of your screen, then scroll down and select “MagicBand+” which will open the MagicBand+ page. You can click the (+) at the top right side to link a new MagicBand+ to your Disneyland account and follow the step-by-step instructions (very similar to Disney World) to link your MagicBand+ to your Disneyland account.

Once linked, you can assign your theme park ticket to the band. Since the MagicBand+ has been used at Walt Disney World, it may need to be reset before it can be fully paired with the Disneyland app. Here are instructions on performing a reset if needed for your MagicBand+. Once the ticket is assigned to your MagicBand+, you’re all set! Then all that’s left is to count down to your upcoming visit!

Tip from Tiffany: Since your visit coincides with Star Wars Season of the Force, I recommend you use your MagicBand+ to become a Bounty Hunter on Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters! This interactive game is on Play Disney Parks, which is available in both Apple and Android Stores. Defend the galaxy and seek out virtual bounties with your MagicBand+ as your guide to hidden surprises across Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
