Can I link magic bands to another account if the same people are using them? I no longer have access to the account they are linked to. Thanks! We are going the last week of July.

    Hello, Jessica!

Welcome back to planDisney! I am thrilled to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next month. I am a little jealous that you will be able to enjoy all of the new experiences that have been created for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. You will be able to save the world with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. “Come on everybody and do the Conga!” Grab your Walkman and dance on over to EPCOT to experience this one-of-a-kind roller coaster.

MagicBands are my favorite Disney souvenir. They are a stylish piece of wearable technology that allows you to access all of your information connected to your My Disney Experience account. I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble gaining access to your MagicBands. It sounds like someone may have been managing your accounts where your MagicBands are currently linked. Unfortunately, MagicBands are non-transferrable, even if the same person will still be using them.

Hakuna Matata, you still may have the option to regain access. If the account that previously managed your MagicBands was owned by you and you no longer have access to that email account, you can try clicking on “Need Help Signing In?” and follow the prompts to regain access. If that is not successful, you can then take the steps to merge your old accounts and new accounts. This will allow you to manage your My Disney Experience accounts and your MagicBands. You would need the Guest who is currently managing your My Disney Experience accounts, to update your accounts and share plans with you via email request to the email associated with your new account. Once you accept the invite, you will be able to merge both accounts.

If you still cannot access the account that manages all of your MagicBands, you will need the help of a Cast Member in the My Disney Experience and MagicBands team. These Cast Members have Fairy Godmother powers and can assist you in getting this issue straightened out. You can contact them by phone at (407)939-4357. Be sure to have all of your MagicBands handy as they will need the 12-digit alpha-numeric codes to verify that you are the original and sole owners of these MagicBands. Phones are open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM EST, be patient as these Cast Members are making magic for all Guests who come to this happy place.

If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
