Hi there, Daryle, and welcome to planDisney.
One of the things I enjoy most about a Walt Disney World vacation is how easy Disney makes it to get around and enjoy yourself without worrying about the little details. From the
complimentary transportation around the resort to the
My Disney Experience app, Disney MagicMobile service, and MagicBand+, there are so many convenient ways to access everything during your stay.
I think it’s great that you’re adding another
MagicBand+ to your collection. Over the years, I’ve picked up quite a few myself, and it’s fun to switch them up depending on the day. I’ve got one themed to Adventureland that I like to wear at Magic Kingdom Park, my Disney Cruise Line band for when I’m at sea, and a couple of special releases from attraction openings like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that I’ll always hold onto.
Getting your new band linked is quick and simple, especially if you already have the
My Disney Experience app installed. Once you’re logged in, just tap on the menu (three horizontal lines) and head to “MagicBands & Cards.” From there, choose “Link Your MagicBand or Card,” and then you can either tap your band to your phone or enter the ID number found on the back of your new band. If you’re linked with Family & Friends, be sure to double-check that you’re assigning it to the correct Guest in your party, since once a MagicBand is linked, it can’t be reassigned. My advice is to check, and then check twice, before finalizing.
If you’re looking to grow your collection even further, a couple of my favorite spots to shop are
Pin Traders at Disney Springs and the
Pin Traders - Camera Center at EPCOT. Both usually have a wide variety of designs to choose from, but I’ve also found some unique surprises at my resort gift shops, so it’s always worth keeping an eye out.
I hope this helps get your new MagicBand+ ready to go. If you have any other questions, please come back and
let me know.
TTFN,
Brent
