How do I link a last minute ticket purchased for my grandson to the original group of tickets? Do I need to worry about it?

Hey there, Shannon. Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with this question. I'm so glad to hear that your grandson will be joining you for your magical visit and I'm delighted to help.

Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is almost here so let's get your tickets squared away so you can fully take in all of the magic. While it's not necessary to link your ticket, I find it's quite convenient when you need to access it for park entry. Plus, it's also super helpful to have everyone linked if you plan to use Disney Genie+ Service during your visit. Linking a ticket is easier than saying, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious).

You will open the Disneyland app and open the menu by tapping the "☰" icon in the lower right. Next, tap the "Ticket and Passes" tile and then the "+" at the top right followed by "Link Tickets & Passes." Here you can manually input the Ticket ID number or you can also use the "Camera" option to scan the ticket's barcode (I find this to be super quick and easy). Voila! You're all linked and ready to have your best Disney day.

I'm so excited about your visit which will be here before you know it. Right now, the Disney100 Celebration is in full swing and there are two new nighttime spectaculars to experience. I also highly recommend checking out the "Magic Happens" Parade. The costumes, the music, the performers and characters and all of the floats are all so magical and fantastic. You will definitely be bopping along to the beat. I just returned from a visit and still have the song in my head. Check the Disneyland app for showtimes during your visit. I really hope you're able to experience it.

Shannon, I hope this has been helpful. If you think of other questions as your visit approaches, please come back to see us. Until then, from one Pacific Northwesterner to another - here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
