    How to link kids tickets

Hey Howdy Hey Joanne and welcome to planDisney!

One of the most exciting parts of a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is booking your vacation. Once you make your selection and upload your information to your My Disney Experience account and app, the countdown to the Magic begins! Now this process should work seamlessly however there are certain times when technology does not play nice and we have to wrangle it in. Let's go over linking children's theme park tickets to your account and get you back to the excitement of planning.

One of the biggest hang-ups when making plans with minors is their My Disney Experience account access. When setting up a child's account, the system will recognize that they are under the age of 13 and their account will be a "managed profile" under the adult that made it. If you are not the manager of the profile, you are unable to share or make plans with them or even link their tickets to their profile. There is a way around this, however.

The adult who made the child's profile can give access to anyone they share plans with to access their account to share or make plans with this profile. The account that manages this profile will have to log into their My Disney Experience account and go to the "My Family & Friends" section. They will then look for another adult on their list that they want to give access to managing their profiles and click on the "Settings" button next to their name. They will then see an option to "Allow (Guest's name) to make plans for the Guest you manage". They will select this option and then access should be given to make and share plans with the kids as well as link their tickets to them.

Linking tickets from here should be super easy. Once logged into the app you should see a ticket icon towards the top of your profile's main screen to hover over. Select the "Link Tickets" button and follow the instructions to both load your tickets and link them to the right accounts.

Try working through these steps above which should cover the biggest hang-ups when making plans for children. If you continue to have issues, you can feel free to give Disney a call. A Cast Member will be able to look through the profiles and get any other snags resolved that we might not have access to. If you have any other questions please let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
