Hi, if I link my in-laws' reservation to my Disney Experience account, will they still be able to make plans for themselves if they choose to do so? And will the linking interfere with my own reservations? Thanks!

    Hey there Diane!

One of the best ways to experience the Walt Disney World Resort is to travel with the whole family! My most cherished memories have been when I’ve traveled with my mom and in-laws. I enjoy taking time to have a meal together and we always keep visiting Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. It’s so fun to witness my mom and in-laws giggle at all the rowdy shenanigans. Making Dining Reservations is easy when you use the My Disney Experience app. Remember, Dining Reservations can be made 60 days before your arrival.

If you link your in-laws' reservation to your My Disney Experience account, they still can make plans for themselves. The bonus is that when you make plans together, both parties can see the plans that you have made. The linking process allows for coordination, but it doesn’t restrict individual planning. Therefore, your in-laws can control their itinerary, select their own Disney Genie+ experiences if they so choose, and even make their dining reservations if they choose to dine separately from you. Linking accounts will not interfere with your reservation either.

If your in-laws have set up their accounts in My Disney Experience, connecting through the My Family & Friends List is easy. When you log into your own My Disney Experience account, you will click on the My Family & Friends List. From there you will see a plus (+) sign that will allow you to “Add a Guest.” There are a couple of ways that you can link accounts. You can select the option to enter their full name and phone number or email. You can also “Find a Guest from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation. Here you can enter their Confirmation Number and Last name on the reservation, or you can choose to “Enter Other Information” and you will be prompted to enter the Last Name on the Reservation, Disney Resort Hotel, Reservation Phone Number, and Arrival Date.

I hope that you and your family have the most magical time.
