Can I link both my hotel reservation and my daughter's hotel reservation in "My Disney Experience" so I can plan for the whole group? Or should I make both reservations under my credit card?

Hi there, James!  You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!  I would be happy to help you set up your reservations in your My Disney Experience account so that you can start planning for your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

When booking your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel reservations or vacation package, you could book both your room and your daughter's room under your My Disney Experience account, using your credit card.  However, if your daughter would prefer to book her own reservations, it is still possible for your family to plan together.  All you need to do is connect all of the members of your travel party in the My Disney Experience Family & Friends List.

You can add people to your Family & Friends List using the My Disney Experience mobile app.  When you open your app, click on the three lines in the bottom-right corner of your screen.  Scroll down until you see "My Profile" and click on that.  Under "My Profile," you can then click on "Show My Linking Code."  The app will then give you a code.  If you and your daughter are together, you can have her scan this code with her phone.  You can give her the manual code to enter if she is not with you in person.  In order to manually enter the linking code, your daughter will need to open her My Disney Experience app, click on those three lines at the bottom of the screen, click on "My Profile," and then click on "Family & Friends List."  Under her Family & Friends List, she can select "Add a Guest," and then choose "Scan their linking code."  When your daughter clicks on "Scan their linking code," she will see an option to "Manually Enter a Code."

Once your daughter either scans or manually enters your linking code, the two of you should be connected in the My Disney Experience Family & Friends List.  If you go back to "Add a Guest" in your list, you should see an option to "Find through my connected Guests."  You and your daughter should be able to use this option to connect with other members of your travel party who are already listed in each other's Family & Friends Lists.  If you run into any problems linking your accounts, feel free to call the Help Center phone number for My Disney Experience, and a friendly Cast Member can help you sort everything out.

When all of the members of your travel party have been added to your Family & Friends List, you will be able to make plans such as park reservations and Disney Genie+ selections for your entire group.  If you have any additional questions about making those plans, please visit us again.  We're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
