Hi Maggie!
I'm so glad you stopped by with this question in preparation for your upcoming visit. You'll be arriving just in time for
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, and I must say I'm just a little bit jealous of all the frightful fun you're about to experience. Be sure to pose for a photo with the Mickey Pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A. Unfortunately, I haven't timed my visits to accomplish this task just yet, but I'll be the proud owner of that iconic photo one day!
Once you've arrived on site, I'm happy to report that you can use a
Disney Gift Card within your
Disneyland App to purchase
Disney Genie+ Service, place
Mobile Food and Beverage Orders, and even utilize
Merchandise Mobile Checkout. I did just that on my last visit. However, you won't be able to store the gift card information within the app. I do have a few suggestions that might help though so let's dive in!
When it's time to make your purchase scroll all the way down on the checkout screen and select "Use a Different Payment Method." There, you can choose from your stored credit or debit cards, or add a Disney Gift Card. You can do this by scanning the card's barcode which will populate all the details, or by manually entering the 16-Digit Card Number. You can even complete a purchase by combining a Disney Gift Card with your credit or debit card if your gift card balance won't cover the full balance.
You'll need to follow these steps each time you complete a purchase so be sure to keep your Disney Gift Card handy. Another option would be to save the card details in your phone's notes or email so you can easily copy and paste the text into the app. This will save you from taking your gift card in and out of your wallet each time.
I hope this helps, Maggie! If we can answer any other questions be sure to come back and let us know. I'm wishing you a most magical visit to
The Happiest Place on Earth!
Magic and memories,
Amy
