Is there a way to link gift cards (or Disney Rewards cards from my Disney Visa) to our magic bands? Leaving in 2 weeks and if I could link the cards I got for my children for spending money to their magic bands that would be even better!

Hello Kelly and thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Interesting fact about the MagicBands- they do not "hold" any financial information on their own. In order for them to work for purchasing or dining they must be linked to a Disney resort hotel room. So, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort your MagicBand(s) will be linked back to your room. You can add your credit card information to your reservation during on-line check in our when you arrive. However, your card will not be charged until you reach your resorts prescribed charging limit. Currently they are as follows: Deluxe, $1,500; Moderate, $1,000; Value, $500.  Once you have reached that limit or the last night of your stay (whichever comes first) your credit card will be charged.  If you would prefer to pay with your gift cards, you can simply stop by the front desk at any time and pay down your balance. However, if you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel you will not be able to link your MagicBands to your credit card or gift cards.

I hope this information helps. If you have more questions, come on back to the Panel- we love to help!

    See ya real soon!
