Hi there, Ilene! Welcome to planDisney!
It sounds like you are hoping for some clarity on linking tickets to your
Disneyland Mobile App so that both you and your husband can make
Genie+ Lightning Lane selections for your party (or even just a few Guests within your party). Linking tickets is a great way to experience the parks. To answer your question, YES! Both you and your husband can have the same set of tickets linked to your individual Disneyland accounts. Let's walk through that process together:
1. Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Tickets and Passes".
2. Tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner and you will see a drop-down menu. Choose "Link Tickets & Passes".
3. Here, you can either scan the barcode for each ticket from your husband's phone or manually enter each ticket ID number.
As soon as you scan into the parks, you can book your first
Lightning Lane. Note that everyone you are booking for will need to have scanned in as well. To make your first selection, open up that app once again and tap on the "+" in the bottom menu bar. Select "View My Genie Day and Tip Board" and toggle to the "Tip Board" tab. This is where you can scroll to see current wait times for all attractions. For attractions that have Lightning Lanes, you will also see "LL Disney Genie+" and the current return time that is available. Select "Book Experience" and this is where you will be able to choose the Guests for this particular selection. Follow the steps from there and you should be good to go! If you then tap into the "My Day" tab, you should see the Lightning Lane selection you just made. You will be able to make your next selection as soon as you tap into the current selection OR after two full hours, whichever comes first. I like to set a two-hour timer on my phone to remind me when it's time for that next selection just in case I'm too wrapped up in the magic to remember!
Did you know that in addition to access to those time-saving Lightning Lanes, Genie+ also grants you unlimited access to all your
Disney PhotoPass photos? I like to take a look in the app ahead of time to see where the photographers are located and pick out 2-3 places I definitely want to make time for a picture. You can find a map of them within the app by taping the pinpoint icon in the bottom navigation bar. At the top of the map, tap the down arrow and select "PhotoPass". Don't be shy! Hop in front of those photographers and strike a pose. Don't forget to ask for a Magic Shot - trust me!
Ilene, magical memories await! If you have any more questions about your planning, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Never stop dreaming!
