Hi Ana,
It's great to see you planning Disney at planDisney again! Some things about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation never change like the "w°o°w" factor you experience when viewing a
nighttime spectacular in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park. Some things, on the other Mickey hand, change drastically, like how you access the magic of the four theme parks.
Valid admission,
a theme park reservation for each park day, and a
method of entry (MagicBand,
MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) are currently required for theme park entry. Each of these vacation entitlements must be linked to an individual's
My Disney Experience account. Anyone that does not wish to have their own My Disney Experience account and everyone under the age of 13 must have a My Disney Experience account profile managed by another person's account.
Honing in on your question, Ana, your family's tickets and MagicBands need to be
linked to their individual My Disney Experience accounts or account profiles, not to yours. What you can and should do is add your family members to your
Family and Friends list in My Disney Experience. Once connected, you can view and make plans for everyone (theme park reservations, dining reservations, Lightning Lane reservations, etc.) You can even link their tickets and MagicBands to their account for them.
To add someone to your Family and Friends list, click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your
current list in My Disney Experience. Next, select "I'll enter their name and age." When you enter the age of anyone over 13, an additional option will appear. Select "I want to manage all plans or this Guest" if that person does not have or does not wish to have their own My Disney Experience account. Select "Invite this Guest to connect" if they have or wish to have their own My Disney Experience account. In that case, you'll also be asked to enter that person's email address. Once that person clicks the "Accept" button in their email invitation to connect, you will officially be connected as Family and Friends.
Your family is so lucky to have a planner like you, Ana! This answer will likely inspire a dozen more questions and I'm happy to
keep the conversation going anytime.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
