Should I link all of my family’s tickets in my Disney app?

    Hi there, Erik,

Those who choose to link all or some of the tickets for members of their party may do so from the Tickets and Passes screen of the Disneyland mobile app. Find the Tickets and Passes screen from the app’s ☰ feature menu. Then, tap the ‘+’ button in the top-right corner of the Tickets and Passes screen to reveal the “Link Tickets & Passes” button. Then use the camera to scan the barcode of the other tickets or manually enter the ticket ID. The Tickets and Passes screen can then be used to display your park tickets. Simply swipe left and right on that screen to show one ticket at a time for Cast Members to scan at park entrances. (Remember that theme park reservations are required.)

My family and I like to have all of our tickets linked to each of our accounts in the Disneyland app so that any of us can help with displaying tickets for park entry, booking Lightning Lane return times with the Disney Genie+ service, and redeeming return times at Lightning Lane entrances.

To make use of the Genie+ service, anyone with theme park tickets linked may purchase the service for tickets that don’t already have it added. Then use the “Tip Board” to find an attraction with an available Lightning Lane return time and tap “Book Experience” to add the indicated return time to the “My Day” screen. Separate from Genie+, attractions with à la carte individual Lightning Lane return times may also be purchased from the “Tip Board.”

Tony’s Tip: There are four ways to redeem a Lightning Lane return time. 1) Use the “Redeem” button for the reservation found on the “My Day” screen of the Disneyland app to display a barcode to scan at the entrance to the attraction Lightning Lane. 2) Scan the ticket card. 3) Scan the ticket barcode from the Tickets and Passes screen of the app. 4) Tap a linked MagicBand+ at the Lightning Lane entrance reader. I like using MagicBand+ so that I don’t have to interrupt using the Disneyland mobile app for other things, such as placing a mobile food and beverage order or making plans to book our next Lightning Lane immediately after we redeem our return time.

I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Erik. If you have any more questions, please stop by planDisney again soon.
