How do I link family and friends’ tickets to my park reservation?

Welcome to planDisney, Allison. Thank you for stopping by to bring us your question! I’m already so excited for you that you get to share the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort with family and friends! Those are always my favorite visits, and I know you’re getting ready to create the most magical and unforgettable memories with your crew!

Allison, there are several ways to get connected when you are planning a visit with friends to the most magical place on earth. But here’s my go-to!

First, make sure everyone has a My Disney Experience account. To create one, simply go to the website and click on the My Disney Experience link. Have the gang follow the prompts and bbbidi bobbidi boo, you’re good to go!

Next, let’s link up! Once you’re logged in to your My Disney Experience account, you’re going to go to the “My Family & Friends” tab. You can do this on the deskpot site or in the My Disney Experience mobile app on your smart device. Once you’re in the “My Family & Friends” section, you should see a button that says: “+ Add a Guest”.

If you’re on the app, at the bottom right of the screen, you’ll see the hamburger menu (☰). Click on it, then scroll down to Account: Profile. On the top of that page, you’ll see the Family & Friends list. Once you’re there, look for the plus sign labeled + Add a Guest, and you’ll see multiple options to connect.

Now on to the tickets: Theme park tickets live in each Guest’s My Disney Experience profile. Once everyone is connected through your Family & Friends list, you can usually manage plans together in one place. If you already purchased the tickets for your group, you are most of the way there because those tickets will typically appear under your account automatically. If you’re seeing those tickets in your account, the next step is to link them to the correct guest.

To link tickets for family or friends who bought their own, open the My Disney Experience app or website, head to “My Plans and Tickets,” and choose the option to link tickets. There, you will be able to enter the ticket ID number or scan the barcode from their confirmation email or ticket card. Once that is done, you can assign each ticket to the correct person in your Family & Friends list.

It’s important to make sure every ticket is assigned to the right person before your trip, especially if you are traveling with kids. It makes those first taps into the park entrance extra magical and smooth.

I hope that helps you get everything linked and ready to go before you arrive! Wishing you dreamy planning, practically perfect park days, and a group chat full of excited countdown messages as your Walt Disney World adventure gets closer.
