How do I link my Disneyland tickets & info to my MagicBand+ that I purchased for an upcoming WDW trip? DL is in the summer, WDW is in the fall.

    Hi there, Ricci!

Welcome to planDisney! I love that you're planning two magical vacations at the same time. That is definitely my kind of fun! I'd be happy to give you some tips on setting up and using your MagicBand+ from coast to coast.

Isn't it awesome that MagicBand+ can be used at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort? You'll be putting some magical miles on your bands this year! The most important thing to know is that you'll need to have the Disneyland Mobile App (it's different than the My Disney Experience App!) for your Disneyland visit. You can use your regular Disney account information with this app, it's all in the Disney family.

Once you have the Disneyland Mobile App you'll be able to follow the setup steps for MagicBand+ to pair the band with your mobile device and then link it to your park ticket. A few tips before you get started:

    • Make sure you've already linked your park tickets to your Disney account. If you purchased your tickets on the Disneyland website then this part is probably already done! If not, you can hover your mouse over "My Disneyland" on the Disneyland website in the top menu bar and select "Link Tickets" to add tickets to your account.
    • Have your MagicBand+ charged up (keep track of that charging cable, it's unique and you'll need it to charge your band at night) before you try to pair it with the app.
    • If your phone also has the My Disney Experience App make sure that it is fully closed. A phone can only handle so much pixie dust at a time!
When you're ready to link your bands just open up the Disneyland Mobile App, tap the "≡" icon at the bottom right to open the menu. From there tap "MagicBand+" and then tap the "+" icon at the top right corner to add a new band! The app should walk you through all the steps. Sometimes pairing can be a little tricky, so you might want to have the MagicBand+ support page handy if you get stuck. You can also chat with a Cast Member through the Disneyland Mobile App for help with your bands, or ask for help in the parks.

Ricci, did you know that there are some attractions that you'll only find at the Disneyland Resort? Make sure you don't miss some of my favorites that you can't experience at Walt Disney World Resort!

Wishing you a magical visit to every single park on your list, Ricci!

    Keep moving forward!
