Ahoy, Melissa! Thanks for sailing by with an excellent question. Your cruise is almost here, so let's get you an answer!
Melissa, select Disney Cruise Line ships do support DisneyBand+. You will want to check the availability of this technology for your specific cruise by going to the
"DisneyBand+ and More" page of the
Disney Cruise Line website prior to your sailing and selecting “Get Started."
If your cruise is eligible, I'm happy to report that you can link your MagicBand+ from Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort to use aboard a Disney Cruise as a
DisneyBand+. I did just that last year when the
2024 planDisney class set sail on our training cruise. You can pre-link your existing MagicBand+ from the "DisneyBand+ and More" page by clicking "Already have a band?" or scrolling to the Link a Band section toward the bottom. The best part is that if you've previously linked your MagicBand+ in the My Disney Experience app for use at
Walt Disney World Resort, you can wear your band on embarkation day. How easy is that?
Melissa, if you have an original MagicBand or MagicBand2, these are unfortunately not supported on Disney Cruise Line. You would need to purchase a new DisneyBand+ or MagicBand+ to use on your cruise. If this is your situation and you need to link a newly purchased DisneyBand+, you can do so through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you've boarded your cruise. It only takes a few minutes!
I hope this answers your question, Melissa. If you have any more questions, please feel free to swing back by. We'd be happy to help!
Bon Voyage,
Melissa
