At this time, only
MagicBand+ is supported at the
Disneyland Resort. MagicBand and MagicBand 2 are not supported at this time and cannot be linked to the
Disneyland app. Do not fret though Ashlea, because you have options!
Your first option is to use your mobile phone and download the Disneyland app. You'll have access to your
theme park tickets to scan into the parks, you can purchase
Disney Genie+ Service for access to
Lightning Lane selections, as well as
mobile order food at quick service dining locations. I used my phone for many years, and it worked just fine. I highly recommend packing an extra portable phone charger too!
The other option would be to purchase a MagicBand+ when you arrive to the Disneyland Resort, and then you'll be able to pair it to your Disneyland app. There are several places to purchase a MagicBand+, but my favorite is the
World of Disney Store in the
Downtown Disney District. Not only will they have a great selection, but they have so many other fun souvenirs and merchandise to browse through as well! We love to do our souvenir shopping on a non-park day, and then easily bring all of our goodies back to our hotel room and not have to carry them around the parks.
