    Can you link a Disney gift card to you magic and for charges

    Hi Mindy!

    Thanks for stopping by planDisney! You're going to love using MagicBands during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It's so convenient to access your theme park tickets, Lightning Lane reservations, and Disney PhotoPass account with just the touch of your MagicBand. Plus, have you seen that MagicBand+ is debuting this summer? It will allow Guests to interact with the theme parks in entirely new ways!

    If you'll be staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels, then you'll be able to use your MagicBand to make purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort, which are charged to your Disney Resort hotel room account and eventually charged to the credit card linked to your account. Unfortunately, there is no way to directly link a Disney Gift Card or credit card to your MagicBand so that charges are immediately applied to that card.

    If you are interested in using a Disney Gift Card to pay for purchases made with your Magic Band, simply head to your Disney Resort hotel front desk and let them know that you would like to use your Disney Gift Card to pay down your account. Keep in mind that your room charges are generally applied to the credit card (or cards) linked to your room account overnight on the last night of your stay, so I recommend that you visit the front desk no later than the day before your check-out day to use your gift card for your charges.
