Hi Araceli!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When making your dining reservations at Walt Disney World, there is no requirement to add your
Disney Dining Plan details - when you arrive at your table, your server will enquire if you will be using a dining plan. They will scan your MagicBand for your dining plan details, and your credits will be deducted. You will need to add your credit card details to your dining reservation, but this is for late arrivals or 'no-shows', when a $10 charge, per person, will be applied to your credit card. If you wish to add menu items or drinks that are not included in your dining plan, an extra charge will be required, but you can choose your method of payment - cash, credit card, Disney Gift Card, room charge - at the time.
The exception to this is when some restaurants do require prepayment at the time of reservation. Dinner shows such as
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and
Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park require prepayment, but again speak with your server and explain you are using your Disney Dining Plan and your advance payment will be credited back to your account.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World, and keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on events that may be happening during your stay.
