How do I link 2 different parties to the same room on different dates? I am staying in a villa for 10 days. Friends from home are coming the first 4 days and then my family is coming the last 5 days. I need to link tickets to make park reservations

    Hello Courtney!

Welcome to planDisney! A Deluxe Villa is a great choice for larger parties. As a family of six, we usually stay in a 2 Bedroom Villa. The extra space, full kitchen, and separate sleeping arrangements definitely make for a more enjoyable vacation for everyone. I will warn you however, once you get used to staying in a beautiful and spacious Deluxe Villa, it is hard to go back to a standard hotel room!

Your plan to have friends and family join you in your Deluxe Villa is absolutely doable, but with the way the computer system is set up, you’re going to need to call and have things rearranged slightly. If your villa is booked as a standard reservation through Disney or a travel agent, you should call them for assistance. If your villa is booked through Disney Vacation Club using Vacation Points, the Member will need to call Member Services. To the best of my knowledge, the single 10-day reservation will need to be split into two separate reservations. You’ll add your friends on the first reservation, and your family to the second reservation. As long as the room category is the same and you aren’t changing room sizes or views, the Cast Member will make a note of it on your reservation, and you will not need to move rooms when you technically check-out and then check back in. I have had to do this before as well, and while it took a little bit of extra arranging in advance, during our stay it was a very smooth process.  Once each of your guests is listed on a room reservation for the dates of their stay, and has active theme park tickets, you’ll be able to make theme park reservations for them. If needed, you can also make them reservations for Disney's Magical Express.

I hope this helps answer your question, Courtney. I have a lot of experience traveling with large groups of extended family and friends, so if you have additional questions before your trip, I would be happy to help you!

Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
