Can you link the credit card used in the Disney Account to a Magic Band if you are not staying on the Disney Property? Would like the family to be able to purchase meals while at Disney with out having to carry money.

    Hi, Kevin!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for the great question. I am sure there are other non-property guests wondering the same thing, so I am happy to be helping you today.

Unfortunately, guests are not be able to use a MagicBand as a method of payment when not staying at a Walt Disney World® resort hotel, even if you have a credit card already linked to your My Disney Experience Account. The resorts are who actual process charges and payments on guests' accounts.

Perhaps one day this functionality will change for off-property guests and Annual Passholders with MagicBands who mostly serve as day-guests. Disney is constantly updating it's technology and functionality. So stay tuned and follow the Disney Parks Blog for fun updates!

Hope this helps you for your upcoming trip. Please let me know if any additional questions come up. I am here to help.
