When you link a credit card to a Magic Band, do your purchases charge immediately to that card or can you pay with an alternate method at checkout?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan. Thanks for stopping by again. We’re honored to be able to help you plan your magical vacations at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I love the convenience of paying at retail and dining locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort with my MagicBand. In order to allow for purchases to be made with a MagicBand, you’ll need to link a credit card or debit card to your account. This can be done during online check-in prior to your arrival, or once you’ve arrived at your resort hotel. All of your purchases will not be charged until the final night of your resort stay. You’ll have opportunities throughout your vacation to switch payment method, such as adding cash or Disney Gift Cards to your account. These will be applied first, before your credit card or debit card is charged.

I hope this information is helpful for you. I wish you and your family an unforgettable trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in December, Susan! Please swing by the Panel again if you have further questions.
    Have a magical day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
