Hello Ashleigh! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I often find myself wishing I had the ease and convenience of a
Walt Disney World Resort MagicBand in my daily life. Not only can Guests use their MagicBands to enter the
Theme Parks and
Water Parks (with a valid
Theme Park ticket or
Annual Pass connected to their
My Disney Experience account), scan for
PhotoPass photographers and attraction photo touchpoints, and redeem their
FastPass+ reservations, but Guests staying at an official
Walt Disney World Resort hotel can use their MagicBands as the key to opening their hotel room door, redeem credits for their
Disney Dining Plan, and charge purchases to their hotel room folio.
That ability to make purchases using a MagicBand is an exclusive benefit of those Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests, though. If you have an iPhone or Apple Watch, though, any Guest can use Apple Pay to make purchases throughout the Theme Parks. While there are some locations that don’t accept Apple Pay (such as table service restaurants, the Joffrey’s coffee locations throughout the Theme Parks and
Disney Springs and a limited number of small kiosks and shops at Disney Springs), all shops within the Theme Parks do accept this method of payment. You can even use Apple Pay for your souvenir popcorn bucket and refills!
Another option in lieu of cash or credit/ debit cards is to use a
Disney Gift Card. Disney Gift Cards are available for purchase throughout Walt Disney World Resort, but they’re also available at many grocery stores and big box retailers as well as online.
I hope one of these options will work for you and your family, Ashleigh! Please let us know if there are any other questions we can answer for you.
We hope to see you real soon,
Amy
