How do I link a credit card to my Disney Experience account if I’m not staying on property? I will need that to mobile order.

Hey there, Tina. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see that you are vacationing at Walt Disney World in December, it's one of my favorite times of the year to go - everything feels so festive. You are going to have a great time.

Tina, there are just a few simple steps that you'll need to do to link your credit card to your MyDisneyExperience account to be able to mobile order while at Walt Disney World. First, you'll need to download the MyDisneyExperience mobile app to your smartphone device. Then, you'll want to open the app and log in if prompted. Next, select the menu bar which is the three blue horizontal lines on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down until you see "My Profile" and select that. This will take you to another page where you should see different menu options and one of those options should be "Payment Method". From there you'll see the option to add your credit card or edit your existing payment method.

When it's time to mobile order in the parks, you'll open the app and select the menu icon again. This time you'll scroll down until you see the option "Mobile Food Orders". You'll want to create a new order and select a restaurant and arrival window. Once you've done that, the menu options will pop up on your screen. You can select a menu item to see all of the details and even customize it before adding it to your order. When you've added everything you want, you'll select "View My Order" to make sure everything looks correct. If everything is all set you can continue to the check-out page where you'll have the option to check out with the credit card you have on file.

It may seem like a lot of steps, but it's a pretty automated process that helps you every step of the way. I actually really enjoy using the mobile order feature and I hope that it stays around once everything returns back to normal. I hope this helps, Tina. If you have any other questions before your trip, feel free to come back and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
