I am so glad that you asked this question. Once you have everyone's
My Disney Experience profiles properly linked, you'll be able to make so many plans for the whole group.
First, check with your brother-in-law to see if he selected the option to allow you to view and modify all his plans. In his MDE Family & Friends List, he can scroll down to your profile and select Edit Settings. There, he should see the option for sharing plans is active. If not, once he turns on that button, you might be able to see profiles for everyone in his party.
If that's checked, but you still don't see his wife's profile, select
Add a Guest, then scroll down to Guests You May Know to see if her profile is there. If not, enter the exact name and email address she uses in MDE and send her an invitation to connect that way. If you've tried both and don't see this as an option, no worries. Help is just a phone call away!
At times, some family and friends' profiles just won't link properly in my own account. In fact, my own profile recently dropped from a hotel reservation I made for everyone. The first clue that something may have glitched in the system (was it Stitch again?) is if a person's profile icon is the default blue Mickey profile instead of the character they selected. When this happens, or if I'm having other trouble getting everyone linked, I go to the
Help Center, scroll down to My Disney Experience, and click on Family & Friends. There, you'll see a link to click for the number to call a Cast Member who can work a little Disney magic and get you all properly linked. Easy peasy!
Abbie, be sure to do this as soon as possible so that you are able to make those magical plans for one and all as soon as your windows open. Keep in mind that you can still
make Dining Reservations without adding particular guests. When my dining reservation window opens (60 days prior to arrival), I'll book exactly what we want for the number of people we need, but won't specify the other guests. This saves time as I'm booking one or two reservations per day on a multi-day trip. Once I have secured everything we want, I'll go back and add the guests to the dining reservation using the
My Disney Experience app. This will also buy you some time if your dining reservation window opens, but you haven't yet been able to fix the profile linking issue. Phew!
Lightning Lane Pass windows open much closer to arrival, so if you've fixed the issue prior to that, you'll be good to go.
