How do I link an already booked resort stay to my Disney experience account?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Sara!

You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney –– thanks for dropping by with a question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Are you getting excited about your visit yet?  It might seem far away now, but I have a feeling these next few months are going to fly by!  Between now and then, I'm sure there will be plenty of things on your planning to-do list to keep you occupied, including completing your online check-in and making advance dining reservations for your stay. But before you can do any of that, you'll need to link your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account. Let me walk you through the process of linking your Resort reservation so you can continue planning a Disney vacation that's practically perfect in every way.

I think the easiest way to link Resort reservations, tickets, and dining reservations to your account is by using the My Disney Experience mobile app. With just a few quick taps, you'll be able to link everything you need in one place.  To do this, tap the three lines in the bottom-right corner and select "Future Plans" from the main menu. Next, look for "Missing a Reservation?" and tap the "Link to Account" button that should be just underneath it (if you're already made Disney Park Pass reservations or other plans for your visit, you may need to scroll to the bottom of the page to find it). On the next screen, select "Type ID", and from there, you can input your reservation details and finish linking your Resort reservation to your account.

Once you've linked your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, be sure to complete the online check-in process for your stay (you can do this from the "Future Plans" section, as well). By doing this, you'll be able to input your payment information and make room requests, then, after you arrive at your Resort, you'll be able to bypass the Front Desk and head directly to your room once you receive the notification that it's ready.  I love how seamless this makes the Resort arrival process for my family –– it always feels like we can hit the ground running for our visit from the moment we arrive and I definitely recommend giving it a try for your upcoming stay.

I hope this helped answer your question, Sara, and I really appreciate you visiting planDisney.  If you think of more planning questions as your Walt Disney World Resort visit gets closer, please don't hesitate to stop by again –– we're always here to lend a helping hand!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
