How do I link my account to my wife's account if my wife bought tickets to the parks and made hotel reservations? When I type in the conf number she received, it tells me it's already linked to her account but want to add to mine too

Hi Scott, and welcome to planDisney!

You are in for such a treat with your upcoming visit. Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel adds so much to a Walt Disney World vacation. The immersive theming makes every resort feel like an extension of the parks, complimentary transportation makes it easy to move around the property, and perks like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours (if you’re staying at a Deluxe Resort) give you more time to enjoy the magic. Plus, being so close to the parks means you can maximize your fun while still having a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day.

Regarding linking your account with your wife’s reservations. Since she booked the tickets and hotel stay, those are already connected to her My Disney Experience account, which is why you’re getting the message that the confirmation number has already been claimed. What you’ll want to do is make sure you and your wife are connected in your Family & Friends list within My Disney Experience. You can do this by opening the app, tapping on the menu icon (three horizontal lines), scrolling to and selecting “Profile,” and then tapping on the “Family & Friends List” tab at the top right. From there, you can add your wife’s account by selecting “Add a Guest.” My suggestion would be to utilize the “Scan their linking code” option, which will then walk you through the next steps to connect. Once connected, she will be able to share the plans she has made, including tickets, resort reservations, and park plans, so they appear in your account as well. If this is your first visit and you haven’t yet created a My Disney Experience account, you’ll need to start there first, then follow the same process.

Scott, please keep the questions coming. If you let me know which resort you’ve chosen, I’d be happy to offer dining recommendations, ideas for resort hopping on non-park days, and even suggestions on which parks to prioritize based on your family’s preferences. Think of me as your planDisney genie in a computer. Ask me anything, and I’ll be glad to help make your trip as magical as possible.

    See you real soon!
