How would the lines would be for the princesses and their princes at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party be on Tuesday, December 15th? I would like to meet all 6 that are in the park. I would also like to meet Mary Poppins, Alice, and Belle

    Hiya Josh,

Welcome to planDisney! We are so excited that you are here today! Coming from a mom with a Disney Princess-obsessed toddler, I know how important it is to make sure that you can visit as many as possible during a visit.

Josh, there are still quite a few details being ironed out for this year's upcoming Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but I'm happy to help you plan as much as I can. Last year, when I did the Christmas Party, we also set a goal to visit as many Disney Princesses as we could, including Belle in her iconic holiday gown, Snow White and her Prince, Aurora and Prince Philip, Princess Tiana and Naveen, and Rapunzel and Flynn. We were able to get everyone off our list, but it was all about strategy. In my experience, Josh, the meet-and-greets are the most popular once the party begins at 7 pm, right up until Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks. As the party winds down, lines tend to get shorter, and that is where we found the most success. We identified our top-priority meet-and-greet and started there to ensure we got at least one or two greetings in. Then we waited until the crowds had started to lessen and grabbed our remaining favorites. My biggest tip, of course, is to stay flexible. As you walk around the party, keep your eyes open for short wait times or lines and jump whenever you see the opportunity.

I wish I had Madame Leota's Crystal ball to know precisely what the lines will look like this year, Josh (I would definitely be using it for my planned party date as well). While there hasn't been official confirmation of who will be joining the festivities this year beyond Anna and Elsa, Santa, Jack Skellington and Sally, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, my guess is that the lines will trend similarly this year. Don't forget that if you are going to be a Guest at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, or Shades of Green, you can purchase your tickets for this year's party beginning on July 9th online (Guests without a reservation can book tickets starting July 16th). If you need anything else, please come back and see us.

    Happy Planning,
