Because you can line up to get into star wars weekends much earlier than the posted opening time, does the Disney transportation to HS start early too? Would it be advantageous to stay at EPCOT resort to walk to HS?

    Hi Michelle!

My son and I love Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios!  You are right about Guests getting to Hollywood Studios early for Star Wars Weekends!  Typically even on Star Wars Weekend Disney Transportation starts transporting Guests to the theme parks an hour before that particular park is scheduled to open on that day.  If you desire to get to Hollywood Studios earlier than an hour before it opens then you have two options.  The first is that you could stay at an Epcot Resort and walk to Hollywood Studios which is a 20 to 30 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. The resorts in the Epcot area all all Deluxe Resorts so the price per night will be higher than a Moderate or Value Resort.  The second way is to take a taxi from your Resort to Hollywood Studios.  Typically a one way taxi fare for anywhere on Disney Property is less than $20.00 including tip and the taxis run 24 hours a day.

I hope that the Force is with you when you attend Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
