Bright suns, and welcome back to planDisney, Leslie! I'm happy to help as you prepare to jump to light speed and visit a galaxy far, far away.
During your upcoming vacation, you'll notice a few
operational updates in the Most Magical Place on Earth. You and your fellow travelers will be sporting the latest intergalactic fashion - face coverings - which are a great way to stay healthy and show some theme park spirit. Have you seen
the latest offerings from shopDisney? We love the Halloween ones and are keeping our fingers crossed for more fun designs as the holiday season approaches. Additionally, touch-free hand sanitizing dispensers are located near the exits of all attractions, ride vehicles are frequently cleaned, and Guests are encouraged to maintain a distance of at least six feet (about two
lightsabers) apart at all times. I recommend familiarizing yourself with
everything Disney has in place to keep Guests safe during its reopening phase.
Currently,
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the only attraction requiring a virtual queue. Resistance hopefuls should log onto
My Disney Experience and attempt to join a boarding group at either 10 AM or 2 PM. Once you secure a number in the virtual queue, you are free to explore and enjoy your surroundings until your boarding group is called.
For all other attractions in Walt Disney World, you will approach the queuing area and enter the line as you would have the past. The only difference you will notice is the placement of markers on the ground to facilitate physical distancing. My family and I appreciated the extra personal space in lines on our recent visit, and we found that Guests were respectful and followed the signs well.
Leslie, if there is anything further we can do before your stay, please come see us again. We love to help!
May the Force be with you,
Betsy
