If I am in line with a fast pass, are we allowed to parent/child swap? Or would it only be able to be done on non fast pass rides?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Isabel! Thanks for stopping by to bring us your question.

Isabel, with two kids that have a wide age gap, the Rider Switch service is one that my husband and I use often during our visits. It’s such a convenient service that allows us to split up so my eldest can enjoy his favorite thrill rides while my husband and I take turns enjoying the parks with our youngest. Bonus; our big guy gets to experience his favorite attractions twice when it’s mom or dad’s turn to ride. I’d say he’s a big Rider Switch fan too!

I have good news for you! You can absolutely use FastPass+ and Rider Switch together if you wish. When you arrive at the attraction, simply alert the Cast Member at the entrance that you are wanting to do a Rider Switch. The Cast Member will provide the first party riding with a lanyard that you will take with you through the queue and exchange for a paper FastPass+ right before you board the attraction. This FP+ is good for up to three guests and can be used at a later time. When you use Rider Switch with a FastPass+, the process will be the same, but with the FP+ both parties will be able to use the FP+ queue for the attraction.

I hope this helped answer your question. Have fun planning and dreaming up your park days and FastPass+ for your favorite attractions. And please do come back and see us again soon with any additional questions about your upcoming visit to the place where the magic is endless
