After on line check in, why did I get a text the day before arriving that said…. From Disney: We can't wait for you to arrive! If your estimated arrival time of 11:59 PM has changed, please update it via Online Check-In. Text STOP to cancel.

Howdy Louis, and welcome to planDisney

There are so many reasons why I love staying in a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection. You can't beat the immersive experience, proximity to the theme parks, and convenient transportation. I also enjoy bypassing a line at the front desk and starting my vacation as soon as possible, thanks to Online Check-In and Direct-to-Room Service. Both of these handy mouseketools really simplify the arrival process.

When you complete Online Check-In for a stay in the Disney Resorts Collection, you provide information like room requests, a credit card to keep on file, and your estimated arrival time. This last detail helps the Cast Members at your resort know what time to expect you, so they'll want to know if it changes. That way, if you've prioritized having your room ready over any location requests, they'll be able to assign your room accordingly. Additionally, it will tell Disney's system when to start sending text and/or e-mail updates regarding the status of your room. I tend to take an early morning flight and land well before check-in time at my resort. Once Disney knows I've arrived, I'll start receiving texts letting me know my room is or isn't ready for me yet, and this helps me plan the rest of my day.

I hope this answers your question, Louis. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and if there's anything we can do to help with future vacations, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're all EARS!

    See ya real soon!
