If we do on line check in for the Beach Club, do we still have to go to the front desk when we arrive for anything such as having our wrist bands turned on or getting our room number?

    Hi Diane,

I love online check-in at the Walt Disney World resorts because it lets you get to your vacation fun faster. There's no need to stop at the front desk at all if you check in online and have your MagicBands in hand.

As part of the process, you provide your email address and/or your mobile phone number. You also let the resort know your approximate time of arrival. When your room is ready, you'll get an email or a text (whichever you choose) letting you know your room number. Your MagicBand is your room key, so you can head straight there. If you are driving, your MagicBand also gains you entrance to the parking area

If your room isn't quite ready by your arrival time, you'll get a notification of that, too.

I've used online check-in many times and only once has my room not been ready by my arrival time (which is almost always earlier than the 3 p.m. standard check-in). Earlier this month, I had said I would arrive by about 9 a.m. and I got a text before 8 a.m. telling my my room was ready. I live just over an hour away and I hadn't even left my house yet!

There's no guarantee that early check-in will be available but I have found that they do their best to time your room readiness to your arrival time.

Beach Club is one of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts with easy access to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot and the awesome Stormalong Bay pool/water park.
