Thank you so much for sending your vacation question my way, Helen! I completely understand being drawn back to your favorite rides and experiences during even the most grown up of occasions! It took me going on a girl’s trip to shift to the adult speed and really get into it!
If you haven’t yet experienced a backstage tour or event, I highly recommend it. I took my Mom on the wild Africa Trek last January for her 60th birthday and it was amazing! Up close and personal with the animals was so new and exciting, and we followed it up with a signature dinner at
Jiko, with a very adult atmosphere. We also took the very inexpensive Behind the Seeds Tour which made my garden loving Mom well up with tears! If you haven’t visited yet, please think about visiting Disney Springs for small plates and beverages at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar (you may remember Jock from his 90 second of screen time in the classic Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark, one of my favorite films) or Wine Bar George. These adult spots offer incredible theming and a relaxing atmosphere for Disney fans. After dining, stick around to hear live music (dance in the back or up front) at the outdoor theatre, or watch match and juggling on the streets (it’s all free!) of Disney Springs. Lastly, try a
fireworks cruise on the lagoon outside of Magic Kingdom Park. It’s a whole new world out there!
If these suggestions aren’t hitting the spot, please let me know. I’ve done so much at Walt Disney World Resort, yet offerings continue to change and I love doing new things. I’ll see ya real soon! ~Lindsey P.
