I have limited time to visit Disney. My plan is to get a 1 day hopper pass. I would start at Epcot, go to HS, come back to Epcot and then head to Magic kingdom for the nighttime festivities. Is this plan feasible if parks aren’t at capacity?

    Hiya, Allison! Welcome to planDisney!

I have good news! Your plan for a magical Disney day will totally work! While crowd sizes will certainly impact the number of attractions you’ll enjoy at each stop, and how quickly you get from place to place (which you seem to know), you’ll have multiple transportation options at each stop, which will be a big help.

Note: All the estimated travel times I’m about to mention are from the My Disney Experience mobile app’s directions feature. Travel times and directions will vary based on the date and time you’re visiting.

After starting your day at EPCOT, you can head to the International Gateway entrance and choose from three routes to reach Hollywood Studios. You can walk (26 minutes), take a water taxi (47 minutes), or take the Skyliner (61 minutes). You’ll have the same transportation options for getting back to EPCOT, where you can board the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then head to the Magic Kingdom.

If you don’t plan to enjoy any attractions at EPCOT during your second visit of the day, you could take a bus directly from Hollywood Studios to the Magic Kingdom. You could also take a bus to the Magic Kingdom from any of the nearby Walt Disney World resort hotels, such as BoardWalk Inn and Beach Club Resort, if you’d like to explore the offerings around Crescent Lake.

As you can see, transportation between the parks will take some time. If you want to experience as many attractions as possible, be sure to arrive by park opening. You can find the hours for each park on the Hours and Events Calendar. Also, you may want to consider purchasing Lightning Lane Passes to skip the standby lines.

I hope you have a wonderful day exploring Walt Disney World, Allison. Don’t hesitate to come back if you have additional questions. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!

    Magical travels!
