Hi there, Lisa - welcome back to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with another question for our team of panelists. Keep them coming! We love to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort holidays!
I'm so excited to hEAR about your upcoming trip in August! The magic of the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is still going strong with
exciting new attractions, amazing entertainment, food, and so much more - get ready to make magical memories!
Disney aims to ensure that
every Guest can enjoy their experiences, regardless of any accommodations they may need. If you feel that you'd have a more magical day if you were using an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV; a fancy term for a mobility scooter!),
they are available for daily rental at all Walt Disney World theme and water parks as well as at Disney Springs.
Currently, these rentals are $50 per day and do require a deposit - prices are subject to change. The great news is that you only pay once, so if you start the day at Magic Kingdom Park and then head to EPCOT in the evening, you can simply show your receipt from the morning and get a scooter at EPCOT without paying again! Scooters (and wheelchairs) are first come first served and reservations are not accepted. While I've not heard of them running out, it is possible, so you may want to arrive earlier in the day if you think you'll need one.
Another great option to guarantee you'll have a mobility scooter for your entire trip is to rent through Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug! They will deliver a mobility scooter to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and pick it up at the end of your trip. This option ensures you will always have a scooter when you need one, including at your Resort (the scooters you rent within the Theme Parks must be returned before you exit the park). You can search for ScooterBug online or call them at 0800 028 0778 (UK) for more information, including pricing.
I hope this information is helpful as you prepare for your exciting visit.
Please let me know if I can help by answering any additional questions!
