On a limited budget, can you suggest the best places to get a good meal. We are staying in the sports resort. A evening buffet would be good and breakfast near the resort.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Carol! Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is a great place to catch not only some footballs, but some ZZZs. You’ll love how close your location is to Animal Kingdom!

You have a few choices for a dinner buffet if you want to stick close to Disney’s All-Star Resorts. I would choose Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort because you won’t need a park ticket to enter, and the prices are on the lower end of buffets because characters are not present. They have a great kid’s menu and choices that will please adventurous eaters as well as the picky ones. My Mom and I had dinner there just this month and we were so excited to try new foods and nearly ate our weight in the dips and breads. You can also try Tusker House, which would be a great splurge for both dinner and a character stop. Mickey and Friends will greet you at your table clad in safari gear. Most buffets at Walt Disney World Resort aren’t budget priced, but Boma is a good choice in this case. As far as breakfast goes, the All-Star Sports Food Court, The End Zone, is a great choice for early morning fare with hot choices, cold selections and plenty of morning coffee. I enjoy sending Dad down to pick up breakfast while I dress the kids in the room. We end up saving time like this! In the parks, our favorite money saving meal is the corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom. It’s large enough to split and the price is just right! Keep in mind that you can buy things a la carte and don't’ necessarily need to buy the combo meals!

If I can help you choose any other budget meals or help you find complimentary magic, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
